Wow, Amoco was selling globes while Texaco was selling toy trucks. I'm sure somewhere on the planet there was a little boy who was thrilled by the globe, but this car nut STILL gets excited when I look at my bright red '55 GMC tanker on the shelf!

In the Midwest, it was Standard (Indiana) to get the globe.

$3.50 seems like a decent amount of money in 1958. With inflation that's approximately $33 dollars in 2021.

Really neat promotion, I would have ordered one. Just about all the globes during the Cold War period had the huge red colored Soviet Union.

Like that early Amoco torch and oval insignia.
