Ready for a culinary adventure? Join us as we dive deep into the vibrant Ethiopian food scene in Addis Ababa. We met our incredible guide, Lemi, and Adimasu, the owner of Adimasu Tours, and kicked off our tour at Zegeye Kurit Bar and Restaurant. Talk about stepping outside your comfort zone! We started with a raw meat breakfast, a unique Ethiopian delicacy. Next, we indulged in the iconic injera and shiro at several local spots. Did you know that in Ethiopia, it's customary to feed each other? We also visited the old piazza, a bustling market that unfortunately no longer exists. We wanted to preserve this memory for the locals and showcase its lively atmosphere. The butchers were skilfully carving meat, music was filling the air, and the energy was contagious. No Ethiopian food tour is complete without a coffee break. We enjoyed the rich, flavorful Ethiopian coffee, a staple of the country's culture. To wrap up our unforgettable experience, we headed to Totot Traditional Restaurant. Here, we shared a platter of raw meat and cheese while enjoying an amazing cultural show.

If you're planning a trip to Ethiopia, make sure to add a food tour to your itinerary. It's a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the local culture and discover the delicious flavors of this incredible country.

Thank you so much for watching! This food tour definitely got us out of our comfort zone - we have never had raw meat for breakfast 😮 We had so much fun trying lots of different Ethiopian dishes and meeting lots of friendly locals. Drop us a comment and let us know your favourite dish and if you have ever tried raw meat 😊

'Gursha' or feeding family or friends with your hand is definitely Ethiopian tradition. Everbody coming and eating together in a single plate (mesob), feed each other is indication of Ethiopian culture's sharing, friendness and loving people.

One of the fundamentals of learning about a culture is trying the local food. Someone who travels a lot once told to me that they will try one or two things but they really don't like it so they stick to their own food - I think they're missing out. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Loving this series about Ethiopia. Thanks for travelling there and making these videos! 🥰

They are so sweet, and even it seems they been in ethiopia for years.

The way she gave a hug to the tour guide, and her greetings to the butcher owner, melts my heart, ❤ that girl!

I wish it's facebook and i definitely inbox her 😊
