Yeah, Pizza Hut will give you a Door Dash pizza bag for free, if they have some. I have 4. One of them I got from a Pizza Hut without even picking up an order from them. I just walked in and said "Hey, got any Door Dash pizza bags? Can I have one?" I've even been asked "Just one, or do you want more?" from the employee.

If it's $21.39, and they just have $20, I would NOT give them the food. Why? Because if they're doing it to me, they're doing it to every Dasher so they can get discounted food (at ever Dasher's expense.)

I think DD should put a temporary hold on a credit card for the amount due as a protection against non-payment and/or insufficient funds.

I’ve had about 10 CODs in the last 6-12 months. Only one had an issue but it worked out in the end. :)

I had two randomly this week so far. Sunday night was $58.72 but got $70. Plus $9.25 from dd. 4 pizzas.

Monday night was $35.64 but was $40. Plus 8.13 from dd. 2 pizzas.

I’m always amazed as to how high these pizza orders are on cod versus regular orders. I’m in BC, Canada.

Hello I'm from Detroit and I've received a cash on delivery for the My first time the other day and didn't know I was opt in it went well and I was tip an extra $10 bucks.but sometimes I'll opt out when I don't have lose money.
And yes some Jets pizza will give you a pizza bag if needed

Got bag from papa johns. Pizza hit sucks. They always say "you can take a picture with one of our bags, but you can not take it."

I got one bag for free in pizza hut, they saw me struggling, trying to fit a very large pizza in the small DoorDash bag so they laugh and gave me one

I have had them do that with COD and could not reach the customer and I wouldn't get out unless someone came out. The house was so stacked up debris at the door that you couldn't even get the door. You still have to wait for the timer but while I waited I called support and drove off. DoorDash really don't care about our safety. I tell them yall are not going to have me a sitting duck in these projects where people are getting robbed and killed multiple times a day. I had to yell at one support person and tell them just to cancel the order that now I'm surrounded by cops and done been here for almost an hour. She finally canceled the order. It's so infuriating. I stopped taking COD because of how much time waste and people's stupidity.

I think most of us that do deliveries don't "discard" the order, it get ate or donated

You mentioned you like EDM (in the Q&A part, I know that may get edited out later) Have you ever went to Lost Lands ? That would make sense for you being in PIT, just a couple hours drive on i70 into OHIO.

I wouldn't give them the order if they was short because they knew the price BEFORE they placed the order so if you don't have it why order it? It's their way of getting stuff for cheap. Plus it's coming out of my pocket when I'm in it to make money. Which now that I think about it in if the order is $21.39 & Doordash takes out $21.39, you're actually not making money on that trip unless they tip. Unless I miss seen where the customer hands you $21.39 & doordash only takes out $18 from your earnings than you're making money without a tip
Also yes I got a free pizza bag from Pizza Hut last night. I had one already but it was time for a new one.

Re: customer unavailable. Had happen twice in over 300 deliveries. With Uber eats. Both times they called after I texted them with a where you at? Both times tried to text me the pin. Told them both that it is against 'policy' too deliver anywhere other than the given address

Yes i have seen that comment from DD when I pick up from Papa John but they never had any but thankfully I got a free one from Pizza Hut

HELLO NO! If he doesnt have $21.39 he doesnt get the pizza. IM NOT RUNNING a charitable organization here. 1st off, if his giving you $21.39 this means there IS NOT TIPS and NO BASE PAID by DoorCrapDash. So why would i want to give him the pizza? At this point i essentially delivered this pizza for free. NO TIPS no BASE PAY. They are in their house, im sure they have QUARTERS lying around. Nope, ill take it the pizza home and eat it myself.
