I'm gonna say it, I ALWAYS thought Dva was the best hard counter to Mauga when Mauga came out, even more so than Sigma. Don't get me wrong, Sigma is a good hard counter to Mauga, but over time, I didn't feel that was the case when I fought the matchup and played around Sigmas abilities. Mauga can't play around Dva Matrix as easily and gets melted just as fast. Now, this is more so the case with the armor changes, buff to matrix, and other changes.

I feel like the best way to fight Maugua is to not fight him and go for a lovely stroll and only come back if he’s done having a giggle fit or if his health bar is purple

Literally said this when the patch came out and Flats freaked about the overdrive going from 60% to 100% and thought it was a major buff.

Even commented on his vid that 1. Mauga had no trouble staying up at 60% so a lot of that extra 40% would be wasted and 2. that dropping it to 3 seconds was actually huge both in general and especially since Dva can easily DM the whole freaking thing now (they don't even need to be careful with their meter).

Comment didn't get noticed then, but I was right. Dva shuts down Mauga so fast. Combined with an Ana nading right after his wasted E? Instaswitch.
