As Maui main, I find it very easy to deal with most dvas

Sombra’s a pretty good counter too.

Because she’s mainly invisible, she can easily hack and focus down any supports pocketing Mauga.
And against mauga himself, her hacks make Mauga a lot less impactful in team fights. It can stop his overrun completely (which is his only form of movement) and prevents him from using his lifesteal.

Her virus also makes it extremely easy to chip away at his HP if he’s not being pocketed by his supports.

Finally, her translocator not only allows her to jump directly past Mauga and onto squishier enemies, but it also allows her to escape if she ends up getting low during the fight.

Literally Sigma I say this everytime if he traps you in his ult put a sheild down then tank part of him spamming his chain guns pop your black hole then you’ll get health then go behind the sheild attack him every time u get a chance then take your shield down tank as much sage bullets as you can KO him with rock then pop you sheild again and just keep repeating till you either kill him or you escape the cage

Whats even worse is people who want 6v6 back, imagine trying to use ana only for the zarya (the other tank) to put a bubble on him and just clear the effects, yeah its fine we have queen ult, oh wait they srill have cleanse. Thats ok its time to focus mauga again, wait no zarya bubble cleansed him. That meta is not gonna be fun in the slightest

With Rein just block him and have your dps hopefully killing him

You forget about Sigma though he doesn't have much sigma does have his barrier and Kinetic grasp

As a tank enjoyer, just dont let him hit you consistently, abuse movility an map or take advantage of distance and cooldowns.

Here’s a good team comp to counter mauga:

Hog - a lot of heals, able to heal dif mauga
Widowmaker - can snipe him from far away
Torb - is so short mauga has a hard time hitting him
Brig: hold ur shield up to stop him healing off you
Moira: the fact you don’t gotta aim should help you land shots on him
