Storage vs. Memory: What's the Difference?

Storage and memory do have some things in common -- like, for instance, holding data. But, the means but which they hold data and for how long are quite different. Storage holds all computer data, indefinitely and securely, until you delete it. Memory, on the other hand, is a more temporary storage space, loading applications from storage into RAM as they’re needed and return them to storage when the computer shuts down.
