Every MEDICARE Part Explained in Just 10 MINUTES! Medicare Part A, B, C, D!
In this video, we covered the basics of Medicare: what Medicare is, who qualifies for Medicare coverage, and what’s the difference between four main Medicare parts A, B, C, and D.
What is Medicare? Medicare is governmental health insurance funded by taxpayers for people aged 65 years or older, or those with certain health conditions. Medicare health insurance covers health care costs like doctor visits, hospitalizations, and medications. It’s regulated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that’s commonly referred to as CMS.
Who qualifies for Medicare coverage? Generally speaking, you will qualify for Medicare when you turn 65 years old if you are a U.S. citizen. Or a U.S. resident lawfully abiding in the U.S. for 5 continuous years prior to applying for Medicare. You may also qualify for Medicare if you are younger than 65 and have a certain health condition. You’ll receive a Welcome Letter in the mail months before your 65th birthday. In this letter, you’ll be presented with Medicare options, such as choosing Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage Plan.
