Thank you for simplifying Medicare. Three years ago, I discovered and subscribed to the Abt Insurance channel. I’ve learned a lot such that I wasn’t overwhelmed when I turned 65 two years ago. Thank you again for your channel.

I'm approaching my 65th birthday and found this extremely helpful. I needed a general overview of the Medicare field so I'll know where to dig down to get more information.

This was very valuable confusion! 😂It helps to stop the video and write down notes and questions. Thank you! I'm going to listen again.

Abt Insurance is great! I live in Kentucky but sought out this company in Texas due to these videos. I've had my Medicare Supplement (Plan G ) for nearly a year and a half and have nothing but rave reviews for their service. Shout out to Jake and Cameron, who are helping me out personally at the moment.

Great information. I pass these on to younger folks starting their Medicare journey. Seems Congress could not find a way to make Medicare more complicated but I am sure they are trying.

I am approaching 65 and teaching at an international school in the Republic of Panama. I don't want to miss any of the open enrollment opportunities but I don't want to spend extra $ now if it's not necessary. I was a teacher a US public school district in Washington state for over 20 years, and haven't officially retired yet. I would love some advice! I am so grateful that I have found your videos!

Working until age 70. Have Medicare A. Plan: Apply for Traditional Medicare B a few months prior to dropping large Company group health plan. Will get Plan D and leaning towards plan N. Will I be subject to Medical underwriting for Plan N at that time? Been studying Medicare for a few years now. This was so valuable and will be saving/sharing!

I have traditional Medicare & a Supplement plan. My PCP just sent me a letter saying he is joining an ACO REACH entity that will share my medical records with other doctors in that ACO network. Apparently, the ACO also gets financial incentives from Medicare that they share with doctors if they keeps care costs down. I'm concerned that could compromise my care. This all sounds like a new twist on managed care to me. I chose a supplement to avoid managed care. Can you explain what ACO REACH is and how it might affect my health care?

Stephanie, do you know if it's mandatory to have Medicare A & B when the person receive SSDI if the person has Medi-Cal? Can the person's Medi-Cal counts as health insurance and delay getting Medicare part B w/o penalty?

I am 66 and working for a large company. I currently have a employer-sponsored health insurance. I haven't applied for medicare yet. My current health insurance will be ended on 12/31/2024. When should/can I apply for the Medicare (SEP) without coverage gap? Thanks!

Hello Stephanie and Associates :) After I enroll for Parts A & B on the SSA website, do I need to wait a few days before enrolling for Part D on the Medicare website?...or may I do both enrollments on the same day?

My husband turns 65 this December and works for a small employer, can he request to start Medicare January 1st 2025 or does it have to start December 1st 2024? Thanks

@abtinsuranceagency, do you recommend enrolling in Part A only at age 65 while still employed and using the employer-based medical insurance? In other words, is there a benefit to signing up for Part A at age 65 even though you won't sign up for Part B until you retire? Thanks for these informative videos!

I turn 65 in September. When I purchase my Part D drug plan, am I only purchasing a plan for 4 months? Will my 2024 rates carry over longer than 4 months or do I need to consider a new plan prior to January 2025?
