I remember back when I was a teenager Sony had a major hack that basically made online completely unplayable for all their consoles for like months and I have no doubt it could happen again with their top of the line "security"

In the Uk you have to provide Sony with a driving license or passport i believe.

Considering how bad Sony's hacks have been, if that the case I'd say that is defintely warrrsnt fir complaint. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought and invested time and money into the product.Interested to find out if that's correct come May 30th.

Even if it takes 3 minutes, your pii information is now in the hands of a third party with a horrible cybersecurity record. Many individual attacks can be springboarded from the stuff that was breached in the past. Also we must support our brothers and sisters in regions without psn, we must take a stand and not sign up for psn until it is resolved as well as leave a negative review, the ceo himself said this gives them leverage in negotiations with Sony.

Read the tos for PlayStation network, they can record you and if you curse or say bad jokes even with friends, they can ban you. That's what alot of people have a fear of

Well i play on ps5 so i dont have a problem but i can empathize with the others consoles and gaming systems that includes pc

There is literally no need for PSN. Just leave the game how it is. PlayStation is just being greedy and making up excuses. PlayStation isn't gonna fix issues. Hell if certain countries get locked out cause their region doesn't allow or use PSN is just gonna be leaving people with games they bought that are useless. Stop the greed

Multiple issues with people who say this.
1. Regional issues: PSN not available in a persons country, hence not able to link an account. VPNs are against ToS.
2. How do I explain this one: If the game had started with making you link a PSN account, it’d have been fine, but making it optional for months, then suddenly making it mandatory is like giving someone a pizza, allowing them to eat it, and doing that each day, saying it’s on the house, but it’s optional to become a member for more pizza, then one day, they come, and they’re stopped from entering because they’re not a member of the club deal. Best scenario I can give TBH.
