IGN’s review in progress was also positive, describing the game as “hilarious, smartly designed, and intense”

The Daily Star rated the game at 4 stars out of 5. Commending it as “a strong four-player co-op sci-fi game with plenty of challenge and intense action.”

Helldivers 2 is also being received well by players, with over 33,238 mostly positive reviews

Helldivers 2 is currently sitting at 85 on metacritic, with a user score of 8.5

The developers were looking at their past record with helldivers 1 and really couldnt predict how popular the game would be off the rip. However the fact the devs have been open about the issues, why they happened and have been pretty transparent on their plans for fixing it ill give it a 10/10. The core gameplay is a ton of fun is challenging and swings from intense to moments of hilarity when something wild happens. If youre interested id wait for a month or so while initial speed bumps are addressed and then jump in. Besides the server capacity issues the game is genuinely a lot of fun

I already have almost 70 hours in the game. I think it's safe to say I like it lmao. Super excited for them to add the currently missing 3rd faction that was in the previous game. And also to see what other new ideas they might have in store to add. Game is easily a 10/10 and it's so addicting and fun to play!

I was thinking of buying the game but there are 2 things stopping me from doing so:
1. The servers (which are being fixed, praise the devs)
2. The anti-cheat. It is extremly intrusive, accesing almost the entirety of the your software and hardware. It's also known for uninstalling random files.
