I put together a rear clamshell plug. I also explain the method i used to split the 3D model in order to machine the plug on a 3 axis CNC.

Really cool how you put it all together. I liked the back and forth between the laptop screen and the in-real-life form. Looks like an awesome production process and an car.

One of the very best one-man shops I have seen in quite a while! Commendable design skills!

This is awesome! I wish I knew if someone local in Arizona or California that could take a CAD design I have made and make mold plugs like this

Great job. What program are you using to draw the object and what program are you using to get the g-code? Thanks

Very interesting and inspiring. Great attitude. You make it fun. When you enjoy what you are doing it definitely shows. I would imagine I could do the same for making an RC plane plug for a mold. Nice video..

Excellent Job, Did You build your 3 axis machine yourself ? I built a desktop size 3 axis, I regret not making it bigger.. but I still love it the way it is..

Is there a place we can send them what we wanted 3D model and stuff and they could CNC out? I work on CNC machines but we use them for metal not foam.

Very cool stuff. One suggestion would be to look into spray adhesive in larger canisters, if you haven't already. 3M sells them in all different sizes, they look like propane tanks from a BBQ grill, it's much cheaper than buying the normal cans if you have a lot to glue and it seems like you do.
