EA just revealed the first official details on the next Battlefield game - aka Battlefield 2025! We've got some new concept art and a ton of new information straight from the horse's mouth.

I just want streets and buildings back. had enough of fields with stupid amounts of shipping crates and boxes. and just normal weapons (no lasers) and calm down on flying stuff that makes no sense.

As good as no specialists is, remember that is the most basic of things that should be in a Battlefield game. The standards of BFBC2, BF3, BF4, BF1 remain; the new game needs to be better than what we've seen in a loooonngg time.

I mean I definitely think we need to give props to attempted innovation for 2042. The last thing I want is for Battlefield to be another Call of Duty, just getting stuck in a rut. It's good to shake things up and test the waters. Not everything stuck, but there were some great innovations in 2042! Vehicle call ins, and the plus system are amazing! Portal is great, it should be free to play, but not everything is perfect. I personally applaud DICE for trying to do something new, and falling on their faces, rather than make a generic Battlefield.

Great to hear we are getting a classic BF back based on BF3 & BF4. Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel after all. Looking forward to the play test. Hope its as polished as Delta Force was.

Battlefield 3 and 4 with the graphics of 1 would be great, also dont be like COD. Thats what seriously ruined everything for us fans. We play this franchise for a REASON. If we want to play Call of Duty, we will play Call of Duty. They gained so much love to their franchise by literally taking major aspects with invasion and ground war of Battlefield and yet still couldnt do it right. ONLY battlefield can do BATTLEFIELD

I hope they keep the solo vs bots mod and battlefield portal, is so fun to play solo against bots. This reminds me from the old gold days from battlefield 2 offline mode.

Community testing is always a great idea...but I'm not sure for a 2025 release probably early 2026.
