What is going on with Battlefield?

its crazy i used to watch jackfrags BF4 content and wouldnt dare to imagine him taking a whole two month stop from the franchise while posting cod content, what a time to be alive.
I miss the old BF days where it actualy felt like a warzone either bf3-4 and bf1!

As a die hard battlefield fan who started playing back in Battlefield Vietnam days it’s incredibly sad to see what’s happened to this franchise. Battlefield has had such a significant impact on my life and to see what has become of it make me truly sad.

all they have to do is remake BF3 or 4 with some new maps/guns/vehicles. Could keep the same classes, controls. Just some better visuals, and I'd be back.

In terms of graphics, BF2042 is aging very badly as opposed to BF1, which still holds up very well.

I would pay $80 for a Battlefield 3/4 Style game and additional $80 for a premium pass if they leave out microtransactions and live service. Just old school class system, no heroes or operators with weired skins and 4 simple DLCs with each 4 new maps and a couple of weapons. Like back in the day.

The UH-60 not being one of the first most basic transport helicopters in a large scale battlefield is one of many many reasons why we’re all still waiting for the next actually good battlefield

bf2 gulf of oman man is pure bliss. Pure nostalgia. I love those days.

This game has an easy formula it just need a class system from BF2, gadgets from the special forces expansion, graphics from BF1, balance from BF4 and maps that flow like BF3.

BF2042 now has too much competition for them to worry about updating it to compete

I stepped away from 2042 for about a year, and I'm actually genuinely having fun with it at the moment.

Still not exactly what I want out of the franchise, but it's there is a lot of chaotic fun to be had.

⁠ the gunplay in bf4 is peak IMO
It had so many cool little aspects that made it feel very unique
It all went downhill from there but bf1 and 5 had crazy atmosphere and were still a lot of fun to play
Bf 2042 lost me instantly after the first gameplay videos got dropped
Just tried to be cod so hard it lost its identity

Watching this gameplay no longer sparks my attention. I’ve now been spoiled to play immersive tactical shooters such as Squad, Hell Let Loose, Reforger and so on.
