I'm definitely buying a new Y, no question on that. What Elon said about juniper not coming out in 24, but having supplies coming in, could perfectly mean they will be building up stock of ready-made units but will not release until early 25 when stocks of 24's Y are reasonable low for "clearance price"; this approach would also allow to attend the mounting demand for 25/Y's and try to avoid the usual delivery delays when new models come out, and for what I hear and see, there's a huge demand for Y's being withheld for the new 25/Y, so orders will "flood" in and prices will be up, up, up - that's for sure :) - this will also give the 24/Y remaining inventory the final kick out of the door.

I believe the older headlights look outstanding and tail lights give you more freedom for customization. Likewise, the suspension, hardware 4, noise insulation, stocks in place - numerous updates of MY 2024 that will keep this car fantastic to ride years to come whereas a rear screen and LED are whistles that can easily be fitted. The substantial updates IMHO can only be a new battery, a significantly longer range (e.g. +100 km), powershare to your home, and, perhaps, HW5. Finally, early adopters will discover if there are any issues like there were with almost any big releases.

Hi Sam. I must admit that after putting my $1K deposit down for the Xpeng G6 standard range, I am now having second thoughts and weighing up whether to wait for the new Model Y Juniper. This is here in Australia where we receive the Beijing manufactured version. I will not buy any vehicle that does not have a LFP battery either so I want the latest version of the battery. The main areas of contention for me, is that the suspension MUST be improved compared to my now written off, MY RWD I bought in May 2023. That suspension was just so bad. Even with the 'comfort' version that I had. The other thing of course is to do with the stalks being removed. Minor considerations are to do with the glass used on the roof, does it now contain silver like the BYD Seal etc? These are notable better than the Tesla offering. Will there be a centre console and or HUD? 360 camera? Rear cross traffic alert? I doubt it. Also, V2L or V2G capability - I strongly doubt it. Still, I do like Tesla's and the new refreshed version I'm sure will be very satisfactory for most people. I'll keep considering things.

I expect that Tesla will want to use the finalized 4680 cell in the Juniper. They will want to scale production on that cell as fast as possible to bring down costs. If cybertruck sales slow down, they will want another model to be using those batteries. Producing more cells will also bring down the cost of the cybertruck. The US tax credit is also a potent factor as well.

YES! I LIKE IT! I have been waiting on the Juniper since it was first "talked about". I DO like the Light bar. The existing bump/spoiler would be fine. Sam, when do you think the CATL battery will be used instead of the 4680?
