Roger Penrose looks much healthier now compared to a year or two ago. I am happy to see him this way, I hope that he stays healthy,

Penrose is the canonical example of how you can keep going past retirement age and still be alert and vibrant . He is amazing !

"Chemistry is too difficult...its full of words i cant remember" what a legend 😂

Penrose is a living legend. The fact he went out of the physics way and influenced the research of consciousness tells me he is more than a great physicist for this age.

Usually, when a Nobel Prize winner decides to take a crack at something new, they proceed to embarrass themselves a bit with their justified arrogance. It's rare enough for people at that level of success to be brave enough to keep branching out. It's incredibly rare for people to continue to have success when they branch out. It's nearly unheard of for them to remain this humble and genuine.

Love Roger Penrose, I think he's been reading the conversations around this in recent months and felt it was important to throw his hat in the ring. Excellent timing to put physics back on track.

This is a clear example of how imprecise language can cause misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and spread misinformation in science. While we only notice quantum decoherence when we measure or observe quantum systems, this doesn’t mean that observation is essential to the decoherence process itself. Measurement is just one way decoherence occurs, but it’s simply the one we can directly detect. Decoherence happens naturally as quantum systems interact with their environment, regardless of whether or not we measure them. Misinterpretations like this can lead to widespread misconceptions and even misinformation in popular discussions of science.

Great to see you and Roger Penrose having a 'over-a-coffee' conversation. I know you've interviewed many big thinkers - but Roger is a bit special.

Every time I listen to Penrose, I can’t help but smile in admiration.. 😊

"I discussed this with Wigner" - how many practising physicists can say that, especially ones with the reputation of Penrose. We're lucky to have him.

The idea of consciousness being needed for wave function collapse is not quantum mechanics, it's some weird idea some people have. I agree with Penrose there.

Whoever got this Legend as their professor during their higher education are the luckiest. Sir Roger Penrose respect !!

There’s a book called The Cosmic Wealth Frequencies on Borlest that reveals secret techniques to attract anything in life. It’s the real deal.

Straight to the heart of the matter…and the mind! Delightful 😊

I got ❤ chills as Penrose ticked down the list of his past professional acquaintances: Schroedinger, Wigner, von Neumann, Wheeler...he's of their ilk too, of course

I hadn't seen this before, but I LOVE seeing Roger being Roger and just completely pushing the edge of this entire discussion. What a wonderful chat! Thank you!

I've liked Roger Penrose ever since I read The Emperor's New Mind 30+ years ago. I loved this interview. It almost felt like I was there in the room with him, just enjoying his intellect and quest/passion for truth.

It's remarkable how sharp Penrose still is at 90 (when he did this video). He's 93 and as far as I know, still going strong.
