I love how the song went from so soft and soothing to hardcore in what felt like a split second, and to go right back to soft at the end? That’s something. I could really hear and feel the emotion in Matt’s voice at the end. This song would sure mean a lot to my dad. He's a vet that fought in the Vietnam War.

When this song first came out. I listened to it. I was so little and thought that the lyrics were gibberish and that war was awesome, however now that I have grown up. I have realized how horrifying of a thing war is an I finally understand the true meaning of these lyrics.
