You folks need to know that most wounds heal. A year ago this song would have been the go to when remembering a significant other I lost due to personal problems.
I was in a place so dark, this person meant everything for me, it was the first time I loved someone. It took me like 5 years, today I can proudly say that I don't miss her no more and that wherever she is, I hope she's happy.
You might feel like you've lost everything, like life's not worth living without that person. But you have to know that there is hope, you have to carry on, eventually wounds will heal and you'll be reborn stronger than you were before. If this person passed away, just think about this, they wouldn't have wanted you to give up, they would want you to fight! Living is honoring their memory.
If this person is still alive but you fought and there's no way back (like in my case), don't torture yourself about it, if they were in the wrong you'll have to learn to erase the idealized version of that person that you created in your mind. But don't hate them, that will only cause you pain. Learn to accept that you just weren't compatible with them.
If you were the one in the wrong (like in my case), then instead of torturing yourself about what made you lose that relationship, improve. Become a better person, but not for that someone. You have to understand that they're not coming back. Instead do it for yourself, you deserve to be the best version of you.

Was watching an old video from late 2010 of my friends and I playing Yu-Gi-Oh. We were listening to a CD I'd made full of Arch Enemy and Avenged Sevenfold songs(was really big into both bands when I was in High School) This song came on and broke me while I was watching the video. Those times were fun and I can't go back but damn I wish I could get one more game in with the guys. Two months after we had that duel my step either Alex passed away from cancer. He was the person that got me into Avenged Sevenfold back when my dad married his mom in 2005. Still miss you Alex, thanks for the awesome music and the fun memories!
