Its funny cause your reaction to the modified botw is how I reacted when I first played the original game. I literally spent ages on the Great Plateau just being amazed at how gorgeous everything looks.

It looks to me all the "shader" mod did was increase the contrast, not add any detail. Because switching between original and modded it just removes the white smokey screen really. Yes of course it looks better, but I don't think it's like so much better I love it.

In my opinion I like the original more. The colors look more washed out yes, but that color scheme gives me a more post apocalyptic vibe. The more vibrant colors in the shaders make it look like hyrule is prospering when it’s struggling to get by. Idk that’s my opinion.

I love how it simulates the effect filming this with an actual camera would have. The bloom around glowing objects is an artifact caused by how cameras work, and the mod is going through the trouble to simulate that digitally.
