Jesus and Peter paid a temple tax (Matthew 17:24-27). This tax was required of those 20 years and older, but no mention is made of the other disciples paying it, which suggests they were under that age. Jesus didn't always follow Jewish customs did he? So could it be that he didn't follow the customary practice of when he took on and how old his disciples were? I'm not sure, just asking. 🤔

That someone is fishing doesn't mean that that was his full time career. Even today, planty of children fish and are not considersd full time fishermen. 2. There were no rabbis until after the destruction of the second temple, instead they had temple priests. 3. The greek word used denoted any in-law, millions of unmarried people have inlaws because their sibling is married. Conclusions, host has a habit of positing erroneous conjecture, then using said conjecture to derive meaning.
