I actually got lucky and bought a Skytech Chronos on Amazon for $729 used. It included the RTX 3070, i5-12600k, MSI PRO Z690 A-WIFI, 1TB of storage, 32GB of ram, and a gamdias case. It works perfectly, so for the price, I’d say that it was a pretty sweet deal!

If someone is new to pc gaming, and has NOTHING as far as a setup goes, you’re 100% spending ATLEAST 700-1300. You need a desk, chair, monitor, m&k, and GAMES TO PLAY
(if you want to stream) you will also need, a mic, stands, webcam.

Do NOT buy used hardware, and don’t be afraid to wait till your next payday, I was patient and spent $1700 on my complete set up, and it will last me 3-8 years before I will ever have to even think of upgrading anything.

$1k IS a budget PC, especially in todays market of hardware. 9 times out of 10, a gtx 1060 and any gen i3 is all you need for the majority of games you will play.

I paid $300 for a PC that came with an i7 8700k, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, a Corsair H100i 240mm AIO cooler, and an open air case with 7 RGB fans. I had to supply the PSU and storage but I already had those from a previous build. This is much more of a budget build, and while the hardware is dated, the i7 8700k is still a decent processor. If I upgrade the GPU to something more recent then I can probably keep the PC for a few more years. Let me know your thoughts.

i got a lenovo legion desktop pc with the same specs but instead, a 14th gen core i5 and it was only 900$, would highly recommend for price to performance. i found this pc on best buy
