I love you so much. This is the best explanation video of anything EVER. No stress, just simple and clear directions. I am SO grateful that humanity has produced at least a few souls who have the empathy, clarity, and state of mind to be able to produce such an effective and informative video. I am forever indebted to you.

Thank you so much! This is one of the simplest instruction videos I have ever watched! I'm definitely a visual learner and you showed how to do everything so clearly and not too fast. 😀

It is 87° F in my rental and i had to have pushed hold to deactivate it thinking the opposite of what you explained. Clear, specific, and to the point. You're my hero. Thank you 👍

Great video but my thermostat doesn’t have cancel and skip type options. How Can I erase every setting and start over. My thermostat is about 2 years old or less.

It's a 50/50 thought that changing your temp a lot saves money. Many people I have talked to in the industry have told me that keeping your temp at a constant temp is the best and most cost-effective way to save on your heating bill. They are NOT big fans of programable ones. The exception is if you are leaving for an extended period of time. Then you can reduce the temp to a safe level and press "HOLD".

Now, with that being said, I like to sleep with the temp set at a cooler temp. So, I do use the programable feature for that purpose. I don't know how much you save either way, but my sleeping comfort is more important to me than the cost.

So glad this was first result of my search. Short and sweet, answered my questions.
One question: I can't get MTWTF to show up as one setting. It only allows me to set individual days? How can you get MTWTF to show up as a set?

I used to have a Raymond Lowey dial thermostat. An airconditioning repair guy took it out and put this horrible device in its place. Hard to read, even harder to use and counterintuitive. Thank you for the video.

After numerous videos, this was the one that helped. Mine was stuck on HOLD. I would put it to 80, and it would blow out cold air. On some days it would work right, and other days, it would start blowing the cold air. I still don't know why my HOLD stops working on some days, but I now know how to take the HOLD off, then put it back on, which fixed the problem (for now). I think these are made for a certain kind of person with a work schedule and no pets. If you don't work away from home, or if your work hours are unpredictable, or if you have pets (in my case birds that can die from drafts), there is no sense in a schedule. The schedule assumes you want to save money, but everyone is different, and for some, the goal is to keep the house warm 24/7. I would like to switch back to a simple dial. Can you do that in a house with one of these Honeywells?

Yes, thank you for the video. I found it helpful but I do have a question. How do you delete a day that you have scheduled? I see on the list of days I have shown Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Friday and then I hit the right arrow and it goes to Thursday, how do I delete that so it goes back to showing Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday

Can you program wake times as different times for each day of the week?

What if I don’t care about temperature at all? I want my fan to turn on and circulate the cold air and moisture out of my basement. I want to program it in, to cycle the air about 3 times per day for about 1 hour each. Only other option is to leave it one forever or remember to go to the thermostat 6 times per day to turn it on and off manually

My house goes nuts in the spring when the daytime temp goes to the upper 70's but it drops to the 50's at night. Who makes a thermostat that switches between heat and cool?

I need to program mine for 70 degrees at 4am and once it hits 70, to shut off. I don't want it to run after that and keep it at 70. I understand the temp may change naturally depending on the weather and I'm OK with that.
Do you know if that's possible?

Question. It says cool setting. I set it to 71 degrees. But I want heat. Does cool mean the air Conditioning will come on?

It's coming up on winter. My house gets cold. I hate getting up at 3am to turn the heat on.

If I follow your instructions. I did Mon-Friday 345am 71 degrees. Does that mean heat will come on if my temperature at 344am is 50 degrees?

Thanks,
