ESPN FC’s Steve Nicol tears into Manchester City defender Oleksandr Zinchenko for his challenge that resulted in a red card during City’s 2-0 loss vs. Tottenham. Nicol calls Zinchenko an “idiot” for costing Man City the match, as his red card was shortly followed by a goal from Steven Bergwijn, who was making his debut for Spurs.

Steve Nicol is the type of a guy to win UCL and complain about the cup being a wrong shade of silver

“Bergwijn goal was okay” “Tottenham didn’t do enough today” this is why no one takes ESPN seriously

When Spurs out posses and have lots of good chances but don’t score, they lack class according to these jokers. And when the team they’re facing only has a couple chances and finishes them, they’re clinical and deserve the win. How about giving Spurs some credit, and say that Lloris and their CBs stepped up big and shutout one of the most talented offenses in the world. And how about talk about how great Spurs were for the last 30 minutes of the game. Yes the red card helped, but it’s still up to the team with 11 to capitalize on it, and it’s not always easy to do. You can still defend well with 10 men, you just have one less attacker, but defense is still pretty much the same. City’s problem is they don’t know how to shutdown their offensive tendencies regardless of the situation, and it showed today..

If Liverpool played like this and won it would be a tactical masterclass according to Stevie

Can ESPN get Ogden on the table and kick this biased Mourinho-hating Nicol out ffs
Ogden was the only one who was making sense there.

Nothing but hate as usual, these “pundits” can’t accept that Liverpool aren’t the only team worthy of praise from time to time

That was justice served. Sterling deserved red. Aubameyang did get one for same tackle. Justice has different ways...like it or not.

Am I the only one who thinks zinchenko shouldnt have been sent off. Not even a city fan but that was shoulder to shoulder and you can clearly see winks dive.

Zinchenko's first yellow was silly, but the second yellow was a foul he had to make, Winks had a lot of momentum and was rapid, Zinchenko never wins the sprint. Winks also had Lucas in support creating a 2v1 against Otamendi, so Zinchenko, as Mr. Stevie Wonder, who clearly can't see or analyze what happens on a football pitch, although he's way more successful than I'll ever be, is not a "COMPLETE AND UTTER IDIOT"

Stevie says the first goal killed the game because he doesnt want to speak about the 2nd goal. He just cant give Tottenham credit. Shameless
