HONEY SOAKED ALMOND CAKE

Everybody who loves almond croissant needs to make this right now. HONEY soaked almond cake!!
It tastes just like an almond croissant. Cake is soaked with honey and makes this cake super moist. Its soft with bursting flavor.

65 g all-purpose flour
90g almond flour1 tsp baking powderpinch of salt113 g unsalted butter room temperature100g granulated sugar
60g brown sugar
1 tsp almond extract2 tsp vanilla bean paste2 eggs room temperature
70g greek yogurt30 g sliced almonds
Honey syrup:
85g water
115g honey
Preheat oven to 350 f.
In a bowl, add in the softened butter and sugars. Beat until fluffy.
Add in 1 egg at a time and mix. Add in the greek yogurt, vanilla, and almond extract.
Beat until smooth
Sift in the almond flour, flour, baking soda and a pinch of salt
Use a spatula to fold everything together.
Pour the batter into a 8 inch pan. Smooth it out. Add sliced almonds on top
Bake for 30-35 min
While that’s baking, make the honey sauce!
In a saucepan, add in the water and honey. Boil on medium high heat for about 5 minutes.
Let that honey syrup cool.
Once the cake is done, pour the honey sauce over the cake in the pan. Let it sit and cool for 15 minutes.
Then take it out of the pan and cool on the rack!
Serve while its warm:)
