Does High Refresh Rate Make You Better in FPS Games (CSGO)

So recently I bought 240hz monitor, and the question is, does it make me a better gamer?

There are pros who started on 60hz... True, but back then 144hz didn't exist and nobody had an unfair advantage when everyone played at the same hz. Sure you can still play if you're good enough, but when you're lvl10 facing another lvl10 who has 240hz and fps to match it, better mouse, keyboard headset etc... he'll have a better chance at beating you most of the times.

It only makes it very much smooothh, but you still can play games in 60 hz. I play CSGO in 60 hz (like most of CSGO gamers do)
