Worked on these back in the early 70's while in AGE in the USAF. Stationed at George AFB, Norton AFB & Korat Royal Thai AFB in Thailand. These of course are Jet engine powered and require JP-4 jet fuel. Guessing this is using Regular or Premium gasoline resulting in your exhaust "flame throwing" misfires. Every now and then we'd grap a fatigue hat off someones head and toss it over the exhaust. I you caught it just right the result was spectacular with the hat going up a hundred feet or so in no time. Classic. Thanks for the memories from 50+ years back.
