It reminds me of that part in Incredibles where Dash is trying out for the school's 100m sprint so watching him run slowly then speed up then slow down all the while his family are giving him strict instructions. It's hilarious.
"Aah not so fast! Make it second. Come second" and the family next to them are looking at them weirdly.

Opposite happened to me in a college 400m heat. I missed my check-in so they had to put me where there was room. I was a D3 51 second 400m runner. I got put in the 2nd fastest heat where all the guys looked like Olympians, and all ran sub 48 second 400m times. I got smoked 😂
