So, it seems as of the past week an update removed the ability to detach the sidebar from Edge. I've been hunting for a fix but its been a no go so far. If anyone knows of a work around that would be great!

It works with Edge Canary Version 117.0.2010.0 & not with Edge Stable Version 115.0.1901.188. It's just what I've been looking for. Thanks for the info.👍

Installed Edge on two different machines today. Deatching was available by default on Windows 10 Enterprise, didn't get it to work at all on Windows 11 Home. Both are running the exact same version of Edge, being 119.0.2151.44, updated on both machines from 118.0.2088.76 just now. (No Insider/Preview) Logged into Edge with the same Microsoft account on both machines.
I noticed other inconsistencies as well, such as my account icon appearing next to the left of my tabs on Win 11, whereas it is located to the right of my plugins on Win 10. Additionaly, my new tab page configuration kept being overwritten on both machines shortly after opening a new tab on one machine. Edge seems like an ambitious browser, but it did not make a good first impression. Could it be that the dev team is trying to move a bit too fast?

Does it still works? And if not is there any alternative for a side bar for win 11 for internet search?
