At the end you wrote lambda 1 but you said 1, I think you meant to write what you said (1). I posit this because 1 x [1 -1] = [1 -1] = [ [ 2 1] [1 2]] x [1 -1] = [(2 x 1) + (1 x -1) and [ (1 x 1) + (2 x -1)]

For V2 as [1 -1] your output is [3 -1]. There is no eigenvalue except 1 which can be taken as common for two data points 3, -1. Hence V2 seems invalid or am I missing something?
