She is a very learned and experienced foreign policy expert but how could a nation afford to let its global reputation continually fractured and stained with allegations by strong and influential international community? Can a financially weak country, if not secluted, afford to persistently give a "go to hell" message to international community? Further, why do Pakistani rulers rush to KSA and UAE when stuck? What happened when Gen.Musharaf was destined to eliminate Nawaz Sharif and then he had no option except to send him to Saudia? What happened when America/West exerted pressure on Musharraf to enter Benazir back into country and politics and thereafter Nawaz Sharif who was out for agreed 10 years, was also allowed to come back? I think Maliha Lodhi is either careful in giving an opinion or is deliberately misleading.
