Rapid Sit-Up Maneuver for Unilateral or Bilateral Posterior Canal BPPV

Показать описание
The Rapid Sit-Up Maneuver is perhaps the most efficient in-office treatment of posterior canalithiasis. Unilateral and bilateral disease can be treated. Advantages are that the patient is already in the supine position after the diagnostic Dix-Hallpike maneuvers, and this maneuver does not require repositioning to side lying on the exam chair which is difficult for many patients. To be effective patients must be able to hang the head 40 degrees below horizontal at the start of the maneuver.

I have had vertigo and I I have done this and the Eply maneuver....gone to 4 different doctors who say "When I do this the problem goes away 99% of the time!"...and it doesn't for me. I am awaiting an appointment with what looks like a serious group focusing on Vertigo with options that include surgery. When I made the appointment I warned the secretary that if I hear the "This fixes it 99% of the time" speech that I am getting up and walking out of there!
