NATO saying this war will go on for years is a depressing thought. Ukraine and Russia produce a collective 30% of global grain. The cost and humanitarian crisis is real and prolonged because both sides won’t get to the negotiating table and work out a new deal. NATO cannot expect Russia to allow grain exports when sanctions on oil, gold and minerals remain. It has to be a bilateral export agreement.
