The Russians never intended to capture Kiev. The forces they had could not capture a city that big. The intention was to put political pressure on Ukraine to negotiate; and it almost worked until the negotiations were sabotaged by the West, who wrongly thought that Russian was weak. Right now, it is a war of attrition and Russia has the upper hand. The collapse of Ukraine and thus NATO’s defeat are inevitable.

Yes I agree. Russia not only outsmarted Ukraine but also US/NATO. After more than 2 years of fighting Russia is even stronger militarily and economical while the Ukrainian army is on the verge of a collapse. As for the EU....it is also falling into a economic abyss
