If the SU-34 was 50 to 50 miles behind the Russian lines, then it could not have been an AIM-9X. The AIM-9X only has a range of about 10 to twelve miles. Now if it was the AIM-120 which can also be carried by the F-16, then it becomes a possibility.

It would not have been a sidewinder missile. They are short range. It would have probably been an AIM-120 AMRAAM that nailed the SU-34

Doubtful that it was an AIM-9X. The range is only 30km, the SU-34 was reportedly downed 50km behind the front line. Highly doubtful that Ukraine is operating over enemy occupied territory with the few F-16s they have. They also have the AMRAAM, supposedly the D version with 160km range which is much more likely. No matter how - well done.
