Want to learn more about how to use posture in rehabilitation and training?

Physical therapy for neck pain often doesn't work. I know firsthand because I've struggled with neck issues for years.

Neck pain exercises usually include stretching exercises and range of motion. And sometimes, you'll get chin-tucks.

But the neck has a lot more movements available to it and it's an integral part of how we hold ourselves. Our posture impacts movement of the neck. And our neck movement impacts our posture.

Just like any other part of the body, the neck needs to be progressively strengthened and integrated into upright movement.

You wouldn't go to physical therapy for your hip and only flex it, right?

So why is the neck any different?

In this video, we dive into the best exercises to help rehabilitate your neck!

MRI found that I have neck degeneration when I was 25. My neck movement is very restrictive. I would love to know about your perspective on neck degeneration.

Definitely the lower body affects the neck, as I know from my past foot problem! (nice shirt) Thank you!

So what if our "fear" of certain movements is based on the fact that these movements reliably trigger symptoms? Do you typically have patients still perform symptom-triggering movements as part of a rehab program? I'm asking for your opinion here, not for medical advice or explicit recommendations. Please speak freely.
