Lineart is also my favorite part! But only in digital, traditional art is my biggest enemy 😅
Lovely video, as always!

For me, finding the right thing to draw my lineart with was the difference between being satisfied with the results and thinking 'the sketch looked better'.

I always applied a LOT of pressure when writing/drawing, which made digital art experience VERY uncomfortable, lol, and eventually made me even stop trying (and honestly, I don't regret it. Focussing fully on 'traditional' art was one of the steps that made me more happy with my art!!).

For lineart, I tried various markers and pens, and eventually ended up using... The type of ballpoint pen I've been using for writing for the majority of my life! I feel like it gives me the most control over my lines, is waterproof, and its smell is so familiar, lol... I make rather messy lines (and like them that way), and the pen fits my style, lineart imperfections are O.K. or easy to fix when necessary, and I could go on and on LOL.

Also, lineart is unarguably a part of an artstyle. My art began to feel more like 'my art' once I started doing lineart my way..

Line art is a headache when you have to do it on a PC but way easier when you do it on paper.
However, if you do it on a PC, it looks so awesome as a PFP, and the clean professional style is very eye catching. Drawings on paper, for me, has never really showed up or was as eye catching enough for me to use as my pfp. Maybe I should try a different light source or something to be able to use my drawings as my pfp'? Or is the coloring the most important part of the drawing?
Also, I love the video that talks on this subject where so many shy away from this topic. Or don't explain the whole subject in an understandable factual fun way.

this is such a good video. i've been looking for tips from someone with a similar style as me specifically for csp. i recently made the swap from procreate to csp and lining feels IMPOSSIBLE on it.

For me, personally, thin lines have always been my favorite, i like to use 5 px to 8 px. I also like smooth, non textured lines with little to no weight. Lining has always been my favorite part to do!
