The decision to buy trucks is not of itself a bad or good decision.

The question in my opinion should be is it a good decision for YOU to buy trucks.

This is not a one size fits all decision.

It’s crazy to listen to this video and hear a freight broker break down the cost of having a truck and it’s overhead but yet and still freight brokers run these lanes they have for little to nothing!! WOW!! It’s a different world out here when you’re not sitting behind a computer desk. It literally takes a lot to upkeep these trucks and run a successful business as a carrier.

Adding a truck will kick your profits in the dirt! I leased a truck for 4 months, it was the worst decision ever!
Truck $20-$100k, Trailer $8, 000 Insurance $25k a yr, Plates $2, 500, HVUT Tax $250, Fuel $2, 500 a week, driver $1, 500 a week, not to mention breakdowns and abandons.... it aint worth it

If I could not drive it It would be A huge negative.. after. CDL it would balance out better in my goals in life .. I am biased though I am in cdl school and looking at both sides of business.

Any type of business you want to start always have risk. And it could be scary. That's why you want to develop a plan on how you want your business to run. That's why you want to research everything about the business you want to start. I'm an owner operator, so I'm already ahead of the game. Learning how to be a freight broker is going to enhance my trucking business by far. Great video Brandon. This video just let me know I'm heading in the right direction. It's not about how much money you have, its how you handle that money. So when you start making alot of money, be responsible and make your money work for you by saving and investing in yourself. A truck for 100k waste of money if u just starting.... 40-50k truck does the same job.... U go to an auction spend even less than 40-50k....
