It's almost funny how different the tone is from single player to multiplayer
One is a dark story, dealing with psychological damage, isolation and a longing for freedom
The other is about robots high fiving and killing each other instead of actually solving puzzles and shit

Can we just talk about how much Valve advertised the Co-op mode? Imagine someone watching the ads expecting a game where you play as robots but what they get is some silent woman and robots are reserved for lucky people who have friends.

I first saw this trailer on tv when I was 8 years old, I thought it looked REALLY COOL. After that I forgot about it slowly, then when I was 16 bought portal, beat it, then got portal 2. I realized what I had watched when I was little was the game I was currently addicted to at the time! I realized it when I played Multiplayer with a friend!!! I couldn’t remember where I had seen the game but then I remember it was an ad on tv. So I looked it up and had nostalgia and amazement come back, the fact that I had found the game that I was amazed by as a kid was really cool. Thank you valve and pls make tv ads for half life alyx!!!! I would love to see new valve tv ads as a now 17 year old!!!!
