How to do a forward bay park using 2 methods✌ // Using reference point and other useful tips

Hey,

On your driving test, you will be asked to do one the 4 reverse maneuverers. Forward bay park is one of them.

With this parking exercise, you will always have to reverse out of the bay as well so it's important that you know how to do that safely and correctly.

In this video I show you how to drive forward into a parking bay. The first technique is a kind of freestyle and the second is using a reference point.

I also show you the common mistakes that people make when doing this manoeuvre and how to avoid them.

The main points to remember when doing a forward bay park is to pick a bay and stick to it. Don't change your mind as you turn as this often doesn't work.

You won't have mush space to work with so controlling your speed with good clutch control is a must.

Also knowing when to straighten up the steering wheel is important and this video shows you how to do that.

I've been told to line my shoulder up just before halfway into the bay before and it always really confuses me. Lining the steering wheel up with the line seems a lot easier so I'm going to try this from now on. Thanks 🙂

After entering the bay, do you brake then undo the full lock turn. Also can go forward, if not fully in.
