I don't see how people try to refute Jesus by quoting a changed book, and borrowing the catholic tradition of looking at the Bible as the inspired word of God..like help me understand that? If your book didn't come out until the 1500s how does that have any relation to the original book? It certainly can't borrow any legitimate authority and you certainly can't honestly claim to follow Jesus if you use anything to refute his plans 1500 years after the fact..

As an orthodox catechumen, idk how much the name matters so matter as whether or not your theology is in line with the apostles and early Christian fathers. Otherwise, we’re going off our own interpretation

presbyterians, at least the ones I've listened to, do not believe that the baptism confers salvation, yet it is a dedication of that child to God where parents promise to raise the kid biblically. R.C. Sproul and Doug Wilson are examples of that.
