Well said! And what's more, in the new testament St. Paul and the other apostles quoted scriptures that are nowhere in our Old Testament.
We need to realise that Scripture is Sacred Tradition in written form; and not all of it was written.

I love you brother. Thank you for all your efforts in combating bad doctrine. But imo, I think Protestants emphasizing the bible isn't their biggest problem. If they want to believe everything necessary for belief is in the bible, the fact is Catholics have believed that before them and scholastics have before them. It's something that its possible to believe. On the other hand, martin luther critiquing James isn't good, and him saying polygamy is almost ok isn't good either. But that's kinda the opposite of their ideals.

Not to mention, Catholics wrote every book in the New Testament. It was the Catholic Church who redacted those books over the centuries. The Catholic Church compiled these books and decided which ones they would discard and which they would put in the bible. Protestants trust that the Holy Spirit inspired the Church to do ALL that - but then he abandoned the Church when it came time to interpret it. Yeah ok.

John 21:25 there are many more things that Jesus did and that if they were written down, all the world's books cannot contain them. Then how come the Protestants disregard this scripture when they say the Bible is the be all and end all of everything.

What else shud we believe Apart from what the Scriptures say ? What you say ? What Catholic Church say ? What Pope says ? JD, is doing what the serpent did in the Garden of Eden while tempting Eve....Did God really say what is written in the book pf Matthew, In the book of Mark ....etc ..? These are straw man arguments. Obviously, we believe in the early church fathers and that the Holy spirit was with them and the council's that canonized the new testament. We don't believe in the traditions and edicts of the Bishop of Rome and the who're of Babylon.

Roman Catholics are misunderstanding Matthew 16:18.

The confession that "Jesus is the Christ the Son of God" is the only foundational truth that Christ builds His church on.

Peter’s confession, of faith in Christ, is the rock.

"God is not a man that he should lie, neither is he the son of man that he should repent." The bible is the Word of God, and if on the title it gives you the writer of the book, then, that's who the writer is? God just happens to be the author.. all the rest is hearsay, and heresy..

Well done knocking down the straw man you made. We believe the Gospels because they agree with each other, history and the Old Testament. Yes Christians agree with scripture, and we test any doctrine by scripture. We don’t blindly follow what self proclaimed infallible interpreters say scripture means. And we reject those teachings that contradict scripture.
