Because we hate people!! But seriously... it's hard to find people we are truly comfortable with... no agenda, no hidden motives. Then you finally let someone in and they end up turning on you down the road. Although we may love them dearly, they can never be trusted again.

I am a very good listener and a kind person, and curious about others. I used to listen to other people a lot, and found that they had no interest in listening to me. After awhile I decided that I would rather spend time alone than be in one-way conversations. And then after much more time, I came to realize that the conversation of most people actually bores me, and that in most conversations I had actually been "suffering fools gladly" without really knowing it. Now I have conversations with only a couple of people, and keep myself endlessly interested by writing my own thoughts and exploring the thoughts of interesting people on the internet through videos and blogs.

It's hard enough to find people who have the same integrity, willingness to understand you, is ok with you "dissapearing" when life gets hectic, and are interested in conversations that society finds boring. But for the people we unconditionally genuinely connect with, shallow, deep or in between, that connection never dies even after years of no interaction.

I have no "friends" at the moment but do have genuine connections that will last me a lifetime(s)

I'm 9 out of 9 ✅ Amazing how INFJ personality archetype describes me to such a point that a person like you — a stranger to me — knows me more than ANY person in my life (and that's why I moved to a new city, abandoned social media, changed my number, and decided to start over all by myself). This is very true. I am misjudged often as being arrogant, but that is not the case. People just look at me and expect me to be more social than I am.

As an INFJ I worked in sales when I was young which allowed me to develop my social skills so people think Im an extrovert. I can be the life of a party only to come home and not talk to people for a few days.

No TV, no friends. I'm good just as long as I can work, dine in restaurants, sit in movie theatres, shop in clothing stores, entertainment myself with YouTube, the internet, music, and meditation. I don't hate people, I'm just not interested in getting to know them.

For the first time in my life I dont feel completely alone. I am a perfect fit on all qualities except I dont doubt myself. May I suggest, all you need to do is look at how other people act and you will have every right and reason to feel good about yourself. I dont feel we should ever feel bad about ourself, we are a rare gift to this planet even if very few appreciate us. In one sense it is truly their loss. I feel we are the more evolved beings on this unevolved planet. Only humans could think evolving means shooting death beams out you eyes, being more brutal and conquering. It never occurs to them it means being more decent, living a deeper fuller life. Truly respecting life. Not just pursing your own goals but wanting to see a better life, a better society for all. INFJ's SHOULD NEVER FEEL BAD ABOUT THEMSELVES. They should stand tall and proud, even through the pain being on this unevolved planet brings. Thanks for listening. No one else ever has

Coincidentally I am listening to this on December 26. Yesterday I cooked a holiday meal for just myself and ate alone at home. I visited my mom in assisted living in the evening. I didn’t mind the quiet of my home and for the first time ever in my life did that. Some people might find that unusual but there was some thing peaceful and tranquil about for going a big party and doing some thing solo.

If someone's idea of friendship means they expect me to take on their emotional baggage more than they're prepared to take on mine, they're not worth my while. I've got enough to deal with, thank you. Also every time I have to "doorslam" someone it drains something away from me and I'm not prepared to give as much of my heart to the next friend.

100% Spot on! Goes for females too; I love my own company and value my alone time, never get bored - no time for small talk, or, fakeness. Always stand in my truth and integrity, a proper lone wolf focused on improving myself, in whatever shape, or, form that takes. Namaste, love & light!

Perhaps someone ought to create an app or virtual space where INFJ'S can congregate for deep conversations, advice, et cetera, so they can feel less isolated. I find it to be a gift and a curse. I learned how to navigate and adapt my mindset through many painful lessons, but I would've deeply appreciated having an INFJ mentor or friend during the growth process. Not only to give me advice, but to have someone relatable early on in life to let me realize that I am not broken but unique. That said, I wouldn't change who I am.
