Why A True INFJ Has No Friends. People often find INFJs sitting around the corner, reading a book, minding their own business, and enjoying their peace— and it's because they don't have friends to interact with. Why don't they have friends despite their compassionate, genuine, and selfless nature?

“INFJs having no friends” doesn't mean they're anti-social. It's just that they have high standards for friendship, and until they reach that standard, they are comfortable with being alone. As an INFJ, have you already curated your group of friends? Do they match your standards?

What Does It Mean To Be INFJ?

The INFJ personality type, commonly known as The Advocate or Counselor, is one of sixteen in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). INFJs account for about 1-3 percent of the population. If you get an INFJ personality type, it suggests you're introverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging. Dominant: Introverted Intuition is your primary cognitive function. Extroverted Feeling: Auxiliary Introverted Thinking (tertiary). Extroverted Sensing is inferior. The MBTI test was designed to help people understand their own communication styles and how they connect with others. Knowing your MBTI type can help you better understand your mental processes and behavior, as well as adjust your interpersonal approach to various situations and people.

I've said it for years before I knew what an INFJ is. I'm not anti-social, I'm selectively-social.

This is very true. I have not many friends and I'm happy with this. I have to walk away from many people that said they were my friend.

At 65 I have probably had only one true friend in my life. Now I don't have any close friends but several good connections with others. They know I will be there if they ask and I kow I can depend on them if I need to. I might sit over coffee with a lot of people in the mornings but I then go my own way. I have been hurt by people I thought were friends so I no longer trust that I can pick them properly.

Idk if it’s bc of my personality type but a lot of the ppl in my life treat me like im stupid and address Me very condescendingly. I have a hard time walking away but I know it’s best. Ppl make conclusions about me yet they don’t actually know me and think I’m too slow to notice I’m being taken advantage of / played. It’s weird

I've been with my INFJ husband for 24 years - we truly are each other's Best Friend. I'm an INFP, so we're somewhat similar in how we function and react to the outside world. It's nice having someone who matches near perfectly with my own ideals.

Iv always been confused about how people consider others friends in such a short time.

It takes years normally before I consider someone a friend, if I speak with you often but haven't known you longer then a decade I probably consider you a potential friend.

If I've known you for decades and you have not been invited to my home, more than likely you didn't make it to the actual "friend" stage.
