PlayStation VR 2 officially arrives in a few days, and ahead of the official rollout, reviews have gone live.

In our own review Tamoor Hussian wrote, "The PSVR 2 is undoubtedly a major step forward for PlayStation's virtual reality ambitions and one of the best headsets on the market, but in the ever-shifting landscape of virtual reality, its price and current value proposition leave it in an awkward position once again.”

Over at IGN, Gabriel Moss gave the headset a 9 out of 10 and said, “"With top-notch visual quality and immersively tactile Sense controllers, PlayStation VR2 represents a quantum leap over its predecessor, setting a new standard for console VR gaming."

At VGC, Jordan Middler gave it a 4 out of 5 and said, “PSVR 2 is an amazing headset, but whether it's worth it to the average PS5 user is yet to be seen, as despite the amazing technology, the software so far isn't enough to convince most to run out and buy one."

PSVR 2 officially launches on February 22 and will cost $550. Is that too much money? Are you getting one? Let me know.

But PSVR2 isn’t the only thing being reviewed right now, Omega Force's Monster-Hunter-inspired Wild Hearts is just around the corner, and the reviews are looking good.

Richard Wakeling reviewed the game for GameSpot and said, "Whatever weapon you choose, Wild Hearts' action is thrilling if familiar. There's a palpable sense of weight behind each weapon swing, and you need to consider when to attack so you're not locked into an animation when you're forced to roll out of danger."

IGN, Push Square, and Destructoid gave the game a 8 as well. Meanwhile GamesRadar gave the game a 4 out of 5 and siad, "Wild Hearts is a worthy competitor to Monster Hunter, boasting brilliantly creative weapons and fearsome beasts to match, scuppered only by an infuriating camera. Omega Force deftly avoids delving into colonist themes, and Wild Hearts is all the better for it."

Kind of sad, that Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village were not playable for those early PSVR2 Reviews. I think that would have changed the tone a lot.

They should have made the same video for Xbox series. X when it launched without any first party games.

I know they want to lean on the whole "not enough games" narrative, but if that's the worst anyone can bring up about PSVR2, then I am beyond glad mine it's on its way.

Gt7, switchback, and village are not available on other platforms. Research is your friend.

GT7, RE8, No Mans Sky, Kayak Mirage should be more than enough for the Launch 😎👍

Switchback is PSVR2 exclusive and that comes out next month and that's just off the top of my head.

I'm pretty sure there's other exclusives too and from what I know, none of the reviewers have VR copies of GT7 and RE8, which are also exclusives and come out for launch.

I see this as an instead of PCVR so I think it is a good deal even including the outlay for PS5 as well.

The line-up is pretty good for me. I don't understand the complains. I already bought NMS, Horizon, GT7, Kayak, Beat Saber is a must have, maybe RE8 which I haven't played and some other games. And these are just the launch games. I'm sure it will grow over the next few months.

I don't agree with that take about software. There is more than enough for a new piece of hardware. Horizon, Resident Evil Village VR, and GT7 are all top tier launch exclusives, and would have been accompanied by Switchback which is another exclusive if not for the delay, on top of 27+ other launch games. Most consoles don't launch with that, so that's a poor take imo.

I will have to agree to disagree as far as the game library. I have mine on its way and i will be stressed to play all of the games i wanna play. Never had that issue with any console launch😀

Really want to get into VR, but most googles are either too expensive or still feel like a mvp designed for early adopters. Maybe PSVR2 will be the one that I finally buy. Otherwise I'll have to wait for the Quest 3.

It's over $900 in Australia..more than a new ps5 console

Why make 30% of this video about a non-PSVR2 game?

Too much money for me personally, I just can't justify spending more than the actual console for a piece of hardware that only has a few good games I can use it with. Tbh I can see it as an expensive gust gatherer after I am finished playing what good games are available for it.

Pre-ordered and can’t wait! No brainer if you have plenty of money.

I’ll be playing Re Village, Job simulator, and Vacation simulator thanks to free PSVR2 upgrades, along with Horizon on day one.

It also has to stay tethered to the PS5. I'm to afraid of pulling my system off the stand

StarCraft camp building + Monster Hunter is a really good idea. Really want to give Wild Hearts a go.
