PSVR2 has given me the best gaming experiences of my life. Zero regrets.

I'm 65 years young been a PS player since day 1 and have never done any VR stuff until I got my PSVR2 last week with Call Of The Mountain and was blown away ! Next I played Star Wars Tales Of The Galaxy Edge & what a blast that was !

Bought my PSVR2 two weeks after launch. It was my first experience with VR, so I don't have a frame of reference from other headsets. Still, I've absolutely loved my time with it. So many great and immersive experiences. I bought a steering wheel and steel frame support setup just for Gran Turismo 7, and that's mostly what I use to show it off to friends and family.

I hope Sony decide to show it more love. It's definitely worth the price for me. Like Sony's consoles, it needs a lot more unit-selling first-party exclusive games. I think that's how they get market share.

Great video, mate! Always love your content.

I got PSVR 2 last summer. I own many headsets including quest 3. I love PSVR 2 I actually think its the Headset I enjoy the most. every one complains about not enough games are being released. but I have a queue of games I still have to play. I think it has been a bit of a hated system unnecessarily . the graphic quality, black level, colour vibrance is amazing. most the games are not casual experiences like most quest games are. yes it doesn't have pancake lenses, but the graphics processing power is so much better than quest. I totally agree with everything you say.

I have it and love it! Synapse, Legendary Tales, Resident Evil 4 and many, many more games (including quest ports) are giving me a wonderful time. I'm sure that there are still many good things to come for psvr2 users!

I have the PS2, 3, 4, and 5. I have the PSVR2, because I had the PSVR1 and loved it. I also have the Oculus 1, 2, and 3. Love them all.

If you have a PS5 and haven’t gotten the PSVR with those current sale making it $350. You need to, it’s amazing.

I have both psvr2 and had quest 2 now upgraded to the 3.
I love the psvr2. I am more committed when I play as not casual games like the pop on quest.
I got the ps5 and vr headset last march and also purchased seat and wheel set up for GT7. And am still playing it a lot, I feel like that set up alone was worth getting the headset for. Do put a fair bit of time into no man sky as well
Having both headsets I can honestly say both brilliant but completely different tools for different experiences

Being multiplatform also, there's not much on PSVR2 that I don't already own on PCVR and standalone. The few exclusives they have are really good, but i was expecting A LOT more hybrid games by now. I still like my PSVR2, but have barely touched it since UEVR was released.

I completely agree with your assessment on the PS VR2. I owned the original PS VR and bought the PS VR2 on release day. I love this for games. I bought a Quest 3 several weeks ago and love this, too, but for different reasons. ("Asgard's Wrath 2" is a cool game on the Quest but I like the AR apps the most.) I think Sony views the PS VR2 as an accessory the the PlayStation 5 and does not promote this headset because it does not financially make sense to do so. What the PS VR2 needs is a general adoption of VR for all platforms. No amount of "AAA" PS VR2 games will get people to commit to a $550 purchase. No amount of ads will do it either.

For most people, strapping a computer monitor (or full computer) onto one's head is new. I consider this technology to be akin to the adoption of color TV or personal computers.

When color TV came out in 1953, people slowly adopted it. It was only in 1965 that the major networks aired prime-time shows in color. Half of households owned a color TV by 1972. This is almost twenty years from the start and seven years after networks broadcast in color. Personal computers were for hobbyists in the late seventies. When business apps came out, these turned these into must-need devices. It took twenty years for half of households to own a personal computer. This is the same timeline.

Early VR for the consumer market started in 1995, but I think the Oculus Rift in 2013 might be a closer start date. Most headsets in the 2015 timeline, so that might be the best start date. I think half will own a VR headset by 2035. If must-have apps hit, it might be as soon as 2030 -- six years off.

I desperately would like to buy the PSVR2, but the price is the biggest barrier for me. I just cant justify the cost.

One year anniversary for PSVR2, my VR experience, and how long I've followed this channel for me.

Originally, i promised to get my daughter the PSVR, and I ended up getting my hands on a PS5 instead, and when they announced PSVR2, I promised my daughter I would get it for her.

I would definitely recommend a PSVR2 to people I'm blown away and ended up adding a Quest 3 to our VR family.

I LOVE my psvr2. So many great games. Gt7, resi 4, resi village, Propagation, red Matter 2 are some of the best games I've ever played.

I think we can have a conversation about disappointment if there are no games in a year, but as of now (the tail end of the first year), the system has had a breakout first year: about 7 VR exclusives, many of which are top-tier experiences. Let's put things into perspective: that's A LOT of exclusives. Period. And it also has some of the best multi-plat versions of games, including PCVR games playable at high quality that aren't accessible to the vast majority of VR gamers due to cost of high-end PC. This would be a lot of exclusives and top-tier games for even a mainline console! And already we have Metro announced and upcoming, and a new Astro reported to be coming.

How many year-one exclusives would it take to be satisfied? 10 exclusives? 12 exclusives?

I can't say that 2024 will be a good year, because it's just gotten started. But to look at PSVR2's first year with disappointment is a bit odd given its impressive showing. At the very least it should inspire a wait-and-see, rather than a doom-and-gloom outlook.

I don't own a PSVR2 because I don't do flat gaming and $1, 050 is more than I want to spend for a corded console VR experience. However, I hope Sony sells tons of them and a massive amount of games too. We need Sony in this market because Sony has a lot to offer and competition breeds inovation. We need to eventually have a PSVR3.

I got the headset in May and I get peoples concern with it, for me though with gt7 is amazing. I still keep buying games for it, but I don’t play them. Whenever I put it on, it’s straight into my rig and gt7 because to me that is the killer app. I also own the q3 and previously the q2 and I play that for other vr games quite a bit plus iracing in the rig. Love vr and this headset is great. Hoping that with the eyes on apple, Sony might realise the possibility of pushing this super bit of hardware.

I much prefer PCVR games than PSVR.
I Also much prefer the fact that Quest is an open system rather than PS dumb closed system.
Additionally, being able to use VR without a cable is way way more immersive than always feeling a cable dangling around.
And finally, the fact that you can't play 3D movies is just absolutely crazy lol

Legendary Tales is fantastic, we need more games like this. Glad I bought a VR 2.
