Is Charging for Ski Pass Ridiculous

Not a hot take at all. Resorts are charging us hundreds for a friggin' DAY PASS at peak season and have the audacity to nickel and dime their customers over a piece of plastic that costs 13 cents to print.

I 100% agree, I work at a ski hill and even we have to pay if we lose or break our pass.

LOL charging for an RFID card is ridiculous. I have an Indy Pass, and the physical card they give pass holders HAS A RFID CHIP IN IT, but not only do you have to go to the window to print a ticket before your day, but you also have to buy a $5 card for the ski area anyway. And the worst part is that ski resorts are lazy and don't bother to tell you anything before heading up to the lift.

there’s a free park i hike year round if the weather cooperates. sometimes i don’t get to snowboard in august but i’ll take it 20 miles from my house.

I honestly didn’t like that. Same with epic pass. I had gotten my old pass at home. **note they never sent me a new one they just made me use my previous year’s pass**
But the one time I go and ask they made a pretty big deal out of it. But didn’t when I paid $1000 for the pass

I bet if you get the season pass instead of day passes it would be included… could be wrong but of course they have to tax people who come once in a while just like all resorts locals get special treatment if only from using the season pass
