On gear, spend the money now so it won't break, and it'll be better quality. Don't buy new gear if your current is still fine. Consider used gear, especially on outerwear you can pay half price for a coat that was used 5 times, and still basically new

This is over a year late but my friend has a car kitchen setup for his trunk so we cook flapjacks and pancakes in the morning in the parking lot and then we can use a cooler to make fresh lunches and have warm meals. Its fucking rad and it only cost like 50 dollars to build.

Best advice I could give anyone is make a snow checklist. I can't tell you how many times I've gone over my checklist and would have forgotten something.

Another ski/snowboard hack to save some money is to always buy your gear in the spring! You can get gear for deep discounts... but you do have to spend all summer looking at your fresh gear.

Also - if you know you will only ski one or two resorts like Keystone or Breck - then don't get the full Epic Pass. I know that i will ONLY be skiing Keystone and sometimes Breck because that's closest to where I live and I don't want to drive further to other places - so I saved quite a bit on the Summit Pass which is a season pass for Keystone and Breck only. Keep up the solid content bro

If I work a season do u think I should rent gear for 270NZ, or buy equipment?

Rent gear away from the mountain at a ski shop, or buy really cheap gear until you get better. Thrift stores always have gear. Also get a job at a resort. Usually free skiing and rentals.

I want to go on a skiing trip, do you think it would be a good idea to get an Airbnb if you're in a group? I saw you didn't mention that, thx

Also, did you do a video on what equipment to buy 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc depending on what your ski/ride level is at the beginning. Everyone wants to buy a board 1st. Best to rent at first. Then when you feel you are going to like this sport, getting better, then buy a MIPS certified helmet, then BOOTS 1st. Then you can check out the rest of the gear until you know your style and desires.
