This should have been a multi-day test first thing in the morning after fasting, and weighed exactly. Then we'd have a much more accurate assessment

I feel like you should have made this part of a series, Tom. Would be nice to see the baseline affect.

I usually do not waste my time commenting on channels with millions of subscribers. However, Thomas is different because he puts theories out there and then tries and test them. Here you have a super fit keto guy trying these different foods and gathering real data. This is exactly what I need to try and convince a friend of mine to take a hard look at what he is eating.

If you decide to do a blood glucose comparison episode again, (which I’m totally into seeing) maybe film it over the course of a week. Like every morning test one item, so that there’s less speculation, and more factual data. Seems like your tummy might be happier with that method too. 😋

I love these vids! Can you do one with different sweeteners? Like monk fruit, stevia, xylitol and so on? That would be very informative 😅

Blood sugar spikes isn't my main concern, it's the inflammatory response I seriously don't want and I don't know a way of measuring that.

Interesting start. Better would to have done one type of nut a day at the same time to better compare the effects, and to include peanuts and pistachios.

This test was uncontrolled in every possible way, and you’re not a dumb guy, you know this

Loved this video! Maybe next you could do various berries. I eat Macadamia nuts almost every day (thanks to you). I've tried lots of different brands and stores, but Royal Hawaiian sea salt have the best taste imo. Would also love to see you do Pistachios and Pumpkin seeds to see how they affect blood glucose. Thanks!

This is a totally irrelevant test. Should have done on different days so no crossover from the different nuts.

Very friendly argument:
What about when you've got a couple days stash of fats/meat in your cave, but you've found some sugar sources today, then took them back and ate them together? It would be much more possible, when some members are hunting while otbers are foraging. That's something that could happen regularly, once we understood how long meat and veg could sit in a dark cool part of the cave before we cannot eat it - I can see the combination happening regularly. There's so many variables, moment to moment.

You should have done plain RAW an UNSALTED almonds, as well as RAW and UNSALTED cashews. Most people, especially diabetics, would not do chocolate covered, so it would be interesting to see your results. And remember, you are in perfect shape. Have someone with a 130 blood sugar and see those results

Been a fan & watcher for about 5 years now, but this was a little too off-the-cuff for me. I'd love to see it as a series, where each food is eaten first thing in the morning in a fasted state to really get clear results. Also having a precisely measured/weighed portion, rather than eyeballing it. This was still interesting, but just a little fast & loose for me.

I think you’d have been better testing them over days ie day 1 one kind, same time next day another kind etc. Also highlights if they have a double spike and not a reaction from the earlier one. Plus you may have a reaction later re how you feel after one of them. Having them after each other you cannot separate the blood sugar

Thomas, there was a study recently that found that the artificial sweetener sucralose (Splenda) damages DNA in the body. This is a sweetener used in a lot of keto/low-sugar foods. I'd love to see a video of you covering this.

I love your content Thomas. This video felt rushed. I wish you would have divided it into a week span to see how each of these reacted fasted. Nonetheless it was still entertaining and informative, just not as informative as I've grown to expect from your content

Hi, I'll never buy products with added ingredients. When I buy nuts they are organic and just nuts. Nothing added and I avoid all these polluting plastic bags. Moreover I always buy nuts (and other foods) in bulk, saving money and avoiding plastic packaging.
