The rat that should've pressed the button for Scott to escape Quantum Realm, was killed by a cat. Therefore, Scott didn't escape the realm, basically, still a lost.

14, 000, 605th scenario: The rat survived the cat, pressed the button that makes Scott returned back from the Quantum Realm, helps the idea of time travel, basically, what we all just watched...the endgame.
