At the beginning I started watching this thinking I knew it all already as I've been a qualified spark for a year now, but as the video went on I actually learnt loads of tips! Thanks man!

3:32 “damaged the brickwork a bit” a good way to mash up your wall. Glad I watched this before trying.

Just fast forward until the kid stops shaking the cam. Got some good points. (Actually mate, you should put something like this in the description.)
Fastening cables with nail clips- 1:30 - Follow the mortar lines. Put the nails below the cable.
Drilling - 4:20 - 18 inches long 8mm drill for phone cables, and drill downwards from inside out using hammer mode.
Using pin plugs on tougher surfaces - 9:06
Thumbs up.

Very useful video, especially the tip about angling the drill hole downwards. Thanks. Need to sack the cameraman though!

For inside jobs:
I like those cable ducts with adhesive on the back (you need to screw them in place anyway), especially if you run multiple cables. It looks better than "raw" cable and are often not that eyecatching.

Nice informative video mate, and good to see you advocating the use of safety goggles etc when drilling. However using drills, hammers, and sharp objects such as in the cable pins is a definite no no when you're doing it in bare feet! ;)

Yeah, those pin plugs are the balls! Saw a BT 'engineer' use them and asked for a handful.

Internal for baseboards if you're in a room with carpet you can usually tuck the cable UNDER the baseboard as there is a gap for the carpet and carpet tack. Then it's 100% hidden and doesn't even need any fastening.

if am running sucurity camaras. would the cables be ok vs the sun and rain? Am doing it on my app building and it would be easier to run the cables on the roof.

The most important question is - what is that large mini car in the background, is it RC or kids type?

What is the best procedure for feeding the cable in from the outside across the 'cavity' to the interior especially nowadays as most people may have the extra cavity insulation those polystyrene beads etc.. ?
