What an easy to follow tutorial. I now have Batocera installed on my old Intel NUC machine. Let the nostalgia commence! :)

Note that before rebooting, you should go in menu>system>backup to copy all the files you have on the current running system (the usb key) to the internal drive

Nice video! This is definitely a great option for an older laptop, though the GPU limitations of a laptop may come into play for certain systems.

Right on Time, I have a Dell I3050 and installed Batocera from your previous vid on a flash drive, and was working very well. This video is just in time, I ordered the Xbox receiver to connect my xbox controllers and is out for delivery from Amazon to connect to it and want to permanently install on internal SSD. Great Vids, keep 'em coming. Sub'd for life.

I installed it with this tutorial it was very helpful. Thank you. The only problem I'm having is that the installed app was on a 240gb SSD drive, but It's only allocated to 6gb. I can't add any Roms as it states I don't have enough space. Is there a work around that?

Good stuff. I would like to see a dual-boot video...just put disclaimers that it's not your fault if someone screws up :P

Had a Intel nuc with a msata I had no way to flash over the image but this video definitely helped in that regard. Flashed to a USB then did this method to put the image on the msata

For those who have problems with *black screen* after booting Batocera from internal HDD and trying to play games from USB my solution is:
The USB has to be NTFS (not FAT32). Format your USB stick in *NTFS* before letting Batocera create the recallbox folders.
Also I couldn't manage to use internal HDD NTFS partitions to play games from (or FAT32). Batocera doesn't recognize them as a storage in the options. Hopefully they add the option to run everything from internal HDD in the future. It would save USB ports for player 2.

It felt like you didn't want to do this but you did it anyway because your fans wanted it. Thank you for doing it even if you didn't want to.

Thank you very much, for this tutorial.
I install recalbox 6.0 to hdd-acer aspire 5920g, and batocera 5.22 to hdd-acer aspire 5930g. Works grate.
I remove the hdd from laptops. I used the sata usb 2.0 adapter and write images to hdd (etcher to batocera 5.22 x86_64 and win32diskimager to recalbox 6.0 dragonblaze x86_64).

This was very useful, I purchased the super console Beelink that you reviewed and hope to back up the entire system on a 2tb external.

Does using an SSD make a significant difference in FPS/Gameplay/Load Times?
Particularly in regards to some of the more modern emulators for PS3, Wii, WiiU, Switch, Etc?
Thank you.
